Crowns, implants & major work

Dental implants

A titanium root and ceramic crown that replace a missing tooth without touching its neighbours.

An implant is placed in the jaw under local anaesthetic and left to bond with the bone for around three months. Then a crown is fitted on top. We plan every implant on a 3D scan first.

The fee shown covers the implant, the connecting abutment and the crown. Bone grafting, if you need it, is quoted separately after the scan.

What happens, step by step

  1. 1

    Consultation and 3D scan

  2. 2

    Place the implant

  3. 3

    Three months of healing

  4. 4

    Scan for the crown

  5. 5

    Fit the crown

Afterwards

  • Soft food for the first few days
  • Salt-water rinses after the first 24 hours
  • No smoking — it is the main cause of implant failure

Questions patients ask

Am I too old for an implant?

Age itself is rarely the issue; bone and general health matter more. The scan tells us.

Can I be asleep?

We offer oral or IV sedation for implant surgery.
