Dental emergencies
Same-day emergency slots are held every weekday morning. Out of hours, call the number below and follow the recorded message.
A knocked-out adult tooth
Hold it by the crown, rinse briefly in milk, and push it back in if you can — or keep it in milk. Call us straight away: the first hour matters most.
Swelling in the face or jaw
If it’s spreading, or you have a fever or trouble breathing or swallowing, go to an emergency department now. Otherwise call us for a same-day appointment.
Bleeding that won’t stop
Bite firmly on damp gauze for 20 minutes without checking. If it’s still bleeding, call us — or the emergency department if it’s heavy.
A broken tooth or lost filling
Keep any pieces, cover sharp edges with sugar-free gum, and book within a few days — sooner if it hurts.
Not sure how urgent it is?
We keep appointments free every day for people in pain. Use the tooth chart to see how urgent it is, then call.
